The Tower:

“A happy life consists not in the absence, but in the mastery of hardships.”

~ Helen Keller

What you thought you knew, your beliefs, morals, in fact, the very foundation of you right now is being shaken to the core.

The Tower represents an experience that completely collapses a situation.
It may be a divorce, death of a loved one, financial failure, health problems or job loss- indeed, any event that penetrates to the core of your inner being, affecting you spiritually, mentally and physically. It is often descriptive of a major upheaval, disruption, emergency or crisis, and is likely to bring chaos in the aftermath of such an event.

However

with such destruction and chaos, there is the chance to rebuild again. As potentially devastating as the Tower can be, this card represents an awakening and is about inspiration, freedom, reality and the release from bondage and struggle.

It is a truth and honesty card that comes as a bolt of lightning to you through a shocking and impactful life event. It represents a necessary experience that forces you to get out of your comfort zone and to grow beyond your present level.

The bottom line is

change is coming whether you like it or not. The secret to surviving the Tower incident is knowing that chaos brings creation and that at the end of it all when you stand on the broken foundations of who you thought you were, you will realise that this will only serve to make you stronger, to create a deeper sense of character.

The truth is, you may never be the same again, but over time you will see, that the crumbling of your Tower will eventually serve a purpose for your greater good.

The Three of Swords:   There is no escaping the meaning of the Three of Swords: the imagery of the swords piercing the heart is glaringly symbolic of pain; heartbreak, grief, and loneliness. As a Tarot reader, this is one of the few cards I dislike pulling from my deck- it’s a “stop me in my… Continue reading Daily Tarot Draw: Friday 16th June ’17

Health and Healing Tarot Spread

I’ve been rather quiet lately, and this is due to a combination of things. Firstly, my own health has held me up, as my chronic illness has decided it wants to throw a tantrum and keep my body from moving as little as possible- I have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, or POTS for short (it is a… Continue reading Health and Healing Tarot Spread
