Daily Tarot Draw: Thursday 15th June ’17

The King of Cups:

“If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs…
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it…” – Rudyard Kipling

The above quote is taken from a poem that Rudyard Kipling once wrote called: “If”

I think that this suits today’s draw card very well, in fact, you might go so far as to say that this poem would have been written for the King of Cups himself!

The King of Cups
King of Cups, from the Steam Punk Tarot by Barbara Moore

The King of Cups appears when he wants you to stay level headed. A gentleman such as he never gets involved or opens his mouth unless he absolutely needs to. He usually prefers to let people follow their own path. This isn’t to say that he doesn’t care- like all Kings, he has a good heart, he just knows that his loved ones have to make their own mistakes, learn their own lessons, before they can triumph.

Today, you have the ability to get the job done properly. You are aware of all the facts, and now you realise that tolerance and self discipline will be the tools you need to create the new changes that you seek. Stay relaxed, keep your cool and you will see the value in keeping your perspective when- like the poem says- people around you are losing their heads especially now in the current state of the world that we live in. This in turn, will get you noticed by a person in authority, and they will also offer their wisdom and give sound advice- especially in terms of progressing within a career.

It is definitely a time to keep a steady heart, steady mind and to accept that we do have limitations in life at the moment but by evaluating the situation and helping to create a balanced atmosphere; by simply being aware of human nature; we will eventually be able to smile a little at the world and its idiosyncrasies.
